We are inching closer to the finale of The Bad Batch. This week was episode 12, titled "Juggernaut", and we got to see the remaining clones of Clone Force 99 embark on a mission, to discover where exactly Tantiss is.

The episode immediately picks up where last week ended. We see Omega debark the ship on Tantiss. When we first see Tantiss again, it's quite eerie. It's very dark and devoid of anything remotely fun, perfect for the Empire. Hemlock being the terrible person he is, brings Omega to Emerie to get her testing started right away. Back on Pabu, we see the boys discuss what happened. Wrecker has awoken from his injuries and seems to be completely fine. Crosshair reveals that he knows a way they can find Tantiss, but it involves helping an ex-Imperial Admiral. Phee also makes an appearance and helps the boys on their mission. They go to a prison camp and use their skills to find where the ex-Admiral is being held. They find him and take over the shuttle that is transporting him. However, he won’t give up the information easily, so they agree to take him off the planet. While the stealth part of their mission failed, they successfully, with the addition of the ex-Admiral, and with help from Phee.  The ex-Admiral reveals that he doesn’t know what the coordinates are, nobody knows, but he might be able to bypass that. Back on Tantiss, Omega's test is successful and Hemlock introduces her to the vault, which he calls "her new home".

I talked about Emerie last week, and how she might be the key to Omega escaping again. There were moments in this episode that showed her emotions, and it could be implied that she isn’t a fan of the work she’s doing, especially when it comes to Omega. Since she is a fellow clone, it would be cool to see her help Omega and the other children escape.

As we get closer to the finale, I keep hoping for a happy ending, but this is Star Wars after all. Omega is now in the hands of the Empire, and her fate is uncertain, especially considering that we know that Project Necromancer succeeds. While we know that Omega is a vital part of the project’s success, it is unknown how much of the success can be attributed to her, especially with how long it took Palpatine to return. There could be a variety of reasons for this, but let’s hope it’s because Omega successfully escapes, and delays the project.

We got to see what's left of Clone Force 99 in action, and it's like nothing ever happened between them. They were able to carry out the mission successfully. Even though Crosshair was on the opposing side for a while, it seems he never forgot what he originally learned. This was evident when he mentioned Plan 55 to Wrecker, who even had to take a second to remember what the plan entailed. It’s been great to see Crosshair back in action with his brothers once again.

I cannot say enough about how great this final season has been. It's definitely bittersweet, as I don't want to say goodbye to these characters. With only three episodes left, seeing how they end the series will be interesting. These clones have been through so much, so let's hope they all reunite and get the happy ending they so deserve.
