7. President Ross Will Be The Main Villain In Captain America: New World Order
Captain America: New World Order is the next Captain America movie set to release. It will also be Anthony Mackie’s debut as the superhero in the movie. During D23 Expo this past fall, the movie was officially announced with the cast as well. Later, it came out that Harrison Ford has been cast in the movie as President Thunderbolt Ross. A new report has come out saying that Ross will be the main villain in the new Captain America movie.
According to DanielRPK, President Thunderbolt Ross will be the main villain in the movie. It is also rumored that he will be working with other villains to claim the island of Tiamut and its adamantium. D23 Expo revealed that Tim Blake Nelson will be returning as The Leader in the movie. He was last seen in The Incredible Hulk movie.
Even though we still have a long way to go until the release of Captain America: New World Order, more and more information will come out, including who the big threat in the movie will be. This rumor isn’t too far-fetched, considering we saw Ross before as not such a nice guy. Whatever the case may be, this will be an interesting Captain America movie.

6. Damon Lindelof Movie In 2025
According to a story published by Bespin Bulletin, it would seem that the rumored Damon Lindelof film will be coming to theaters by the year 2025. Of course, 2025 has been on the docket for a while as a possible Star Wars movie release date and it seems that now Lucasfilm seems to have a movie slowly but surely being ready to enter production
The Star Wars movie side of things has been quiet for the last few years, but hopefully, soon we will start to have some confirmed releases. Will Lindelof be first? Impossible to say right now, although, by the sound of these rumors, it could be. As a wise Jedi Master once said, always in motion the future and the future of movies is probably the most fluent.

5. The Long Rumoured Mid-Generation Nintendo Switch Update Has Been Cancelled
Since the Nintendo Switch was released in 2017, there seems to have always been a rumor surrounding a mid-generation update. 2019’s Switch Lite and 2021’s Switch OLED might have been different versions of that original model, but they had no power boosts or distinct changes that would allow them to be labeled as a mid-generation update. While the rumors are unlikely to stop about one coming, the latest reports suggest that while such rumors once held true, the development has shifted to the successor to the Switch.
The report comes from Digital Foundry’s John Linneman, who says that multiple developers had confirmed plans had existed for an update, but Nintendo instead chose to focus on its new console. A console that Linneman does not think will be released this year.
"So I think at one point internally from what I can understand from talking to different developers, is that there was some sort of mid-generation Switch update planned at one point and that seems to be no longer happening. And thus it's pretty clear that whatever they do next is going to be the actual next-generation hardware. I don't think it's going to be 2023."
With the Nintendo Switch continuing to be a huge success while nearing its sixth year on the market, perhaps Nintendo felt a mid-generation update was unnecessary. The same story could be said of Mario Kart, with the 2017’s Mario Kart 8 Deluxe – an enhanced port of the 2014 Wii U title Mario Kart 8 – still managing to chart in weekly sales reports to this day. But at least with a game, download content can add to a product rather than replace it.

4. New Lego Set Rumored To Be A LOTR Set Of Rivendell
With the new season of The Rings of Power and the release of Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny coming in the summer, it only makes sense that LEGO is going to jump onto that popularity train and release new sets.
One of the rumored new sets for the Lord of the Rings is none other than a massive Rivendell set. This rumor comes from the LEGO news site Brick Fanatics. There’s no picture with the other sets revealed, which are characters for the upcoming BrickHeadz, but the price point is listed and the site claims it will likely be $500 and will be over 6,000 pieces.
The price point seems a little light given that the LEGO Star Wars AT-AT Ultimate Collector Edition is $800 and is only a few hundred pieces more than the rumored set. The set will likely be a mini-scale, similar to the Hogwarts set since Rivendell is a large homestead that rests on a mountainside.
Brick Fanatics does list an item number for the set, but there’s no link, and they’re guessing that the set will launch in March of this year under the LEGO Icons banner. Hopefully, there will be a picture and confirmation of the rumor within the next few weeks since March is not long off.

3. The New PlayStation 5 New Model Is Coming Next Year
The PlayStation 5 is seemingly getting a new model, one that has an interesting party piece. Anonymous sources familiar with Sony's plans suggest that it will have almost identical hardware except for the fact it has a detachable disc drive.
Upon launch in 2020, the PlayStation 5 was released with two different models. One with a disc drive and one that did without. This new model seems to be fusing the two, allowing a digital-focused player to get a PS5 without a disc drive, but easily being able to add one should they want to in the future. Those detachable disc drives are said to be purchasable separately, meaning even if one breaks a replacement should be easily acquired.
It is said that this disc drive will not ruin the aesthetics of the console once attached, hiding the fact an external part has been attached to it. While this new model may have a similar look to the previous ones, the suggested release time has been stated in a new rumour relating to a PS5 Slim model. Sometime next year, Sony will release the PS5 Slim which will further reduce the size and weight of the console.
It is not intended to be called a Slim model, though. Instead, internal documentation suggests this new model will replace the two currently on sale, with production of the old models being retired by the end of the year. This new model will possibly be released in September 2023, with production starting in April of that year.

2. An Event Early Next Year Will Showcase Xbox Releases For The Year
In a roundup of Xbox’s 2022 and a look at what they can improve for next year, Jez Corden of Windows Central reveals that he has heard some tentative talk of an event early next year that will look at what Microsoft has in store for 2023.
Microsoft’s last event was their showcase during E3 2022, in which a few games were announced to be coming in 2023. Microsoft’s VP of Xbox Games Marketing Aaron Greenberg recently said they have a lot to show and share for next year, with 2023 being an incredibly exciting year. Within that same tweet, he also alluded to the fact we’d be hearing about those plans soon.
There has been more smoke since Corden talked about those rumors, as he words it, making it likely that sometime in Q1 of next year, there will be an Xbox event. While more information will be welcomed on those we know are dated for next year, such as Forza Motorsport and Minecraft Legends, there are plenty of games from Xbox Games Studios that have seen little information since their announcement. Those such as Fable, Everwild, and State of Decay 3 have seen an announcement trailer and then gone silent for over two years. It will be interesting to see if such an event comes and what surprises it will hold.

1. Fans Believe The New Protagonist For The Upcoming New Pokémon Series Is Ash’s Kid
With the news that Ash is officially retiring after finally becoming champion after 22 years, more news has come out about the next series in the Pokémon run. The new star will be a girl by the name of Liko and Roy and it will feature the new Paldea region with the new starter Pokémon featured as well.
The rumors start, however, if you take a nuanced look at Liko. She has this green clip in her hair that looks oddly familiar. To fans of new champion Ash, it will, at least. It’s the exact shape and color of the symbol on his famous hat. Could Liko be Ash’s kid?
It’s a lot to stake a claim on, but it would certainly help bridge the two stories. Who would be the mother? Fans posited either Misty or Serena. Serena is one of Ash’s companions from the Kalos arc, and she had a crush on him during their time together. It’s a solid place to create a relationship. Misty feels like a bit of a stretch, and the basis is the color of Liko’s hair being blue.
This is all speculation at the moment, as there have been no details about Liko and Roy released so far, but the show will air in Japan in January, meaning all these possibilities should be answered soon.
