3. 'Blade' To Begin Filming In The Summer

Marvel’s Blade has been a film that seems to have been in development limbo for quite some time at the moment and yet now it finally seems that things are coming to fruition. According to Jeff Sneider on the Hot Mic podcast, Blade is said to be shooting this summer, and the script has been trimmed down to Mahershala Ali killing vampires”. It is good to know that this film will be continuing and is very much anticipated to join the ranks of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. With one movie coming out in 2024, it will join the next slew of Marvel films for 2025.

2. Dev Patel In Talks To Join The Gareth Edwards 'Jurassic World' Trilogy Sequel

Universal Studios is looking to continue milking the Brontosaurus they have with the Jurassic Park franchise. First, they found Gareth Edwards to direct. If you’re unfamiliar with who Edwards is, he directed Rogue One, The Creator, and the 2014 reboot of Godzilla. It’s also been reported that Scarlett Johansson will star in the new movie.

Now, word has come from Hollywood insiders that Dev Patel, who recently directed and starred in the hit movie Monkey Man, will be joining and co-starring in the next installment of the beloved franchise.

This has not been confirmed yet, but with a production date starting by July 31, and a script already written by David Koepp. That’s also a welcome sign. He wrote the original screenplay for the movie that started it all and also has numerous other accolades to his name like Mission: Impossible and the first Spider-Man movie.

1. A Leaked Photo From Season 2 Of 'The Rings Of Power' Shows The Behind The Scenes Of A Battle

The Rings Of Power has been a huge undertaking by Amazon. The first season was released a bit ago, and fans are patiently waiting for season 2. Season 2 is expected to release sometime in 2024, so hopefully fans won’t have to wait too much longer. During the wait, however, photos from the set have been leaked online, including the newest one that shows some elves getting ready for battle.

The photo, which Fellowship Of Fans shared on X, shows various actors dressed as elves in battle armor. The long-haired elves seem to be making a comeback, something that was lacking in season 1. They are equipped with bows and arrows, and a blue screen is behind them. It has been revealed that the behind-the-scenes photo is from the filming of the Battle Of Eregion.

The Battle Of Eregion, or the Siege Of Eregion, was a deadly battle between Sauron and the elves during the Second Age. Celelbrimbor monitored the defense of the borders and later was sent Elrond to help defend Eregion from Sauron. This also marked the beginning of the War of the Elves and Sauron. With how season 1 ended, this battle would fit perfectly into season 2’s story, so let’s hope it’s worth the wait.
