3. Lindelof’s Star Wars Movie Is Ready To Start Filming

The Star Wars film side of things has been dormant since the Rise of Skywalker in 2019. Throughout the last six years, we have gotten a lot of non-starts and unknowns on just where the film side of this franchise is going. However, it would seem that we are far closer to getting something official coming up. After all, Star Wars Celebration 23 is on the way, and announcements galore are upon us. For a while now the biggest rumor of what the future of Star Wars in cinema would be the Dameon Lindelof film, well it seems those rumors continue to heat up.

According to Jeff Snider on the Hot Mic, it would appear that not only is the Lindelof film done from a scripting perspective it has also been cast as well. Though he did not say for sure if it were to be announced at Star Celebration Europe in London, he was confident that it would happen. This would be quite an exciting thing to happen given that we are still very much in the dark about what the next Star Wars film would be and this could very much give us a sense of direction

Always in motion, the future is, but the future may be coming sooner rather than later.

2. MCU Fantastic Four Updates Its Casting

Another Fantastic Four update to add to the pile.

It seems Marvel is attempting to make a more comic-accurate portrayal of the First Family for its MCU debut. In the comics, Ben Grimm, also known as The Thing, is described as a Jewish character. According to the rumors, Marvel is therefore looking for a Jewish actor to portray the stone-skinned hero.

If this is true, it would make him the second Jewish character in the MCU, the first being Moon Knight.

While this has not been confirmed by Marvel or Disney, it does come among the knowledge that Kevin Feige is personally overseeing the casting of this highly anticipated MCU debut. Previous information to come out about casting includes Reed Richards and Susan Storm being parents already by the time the film takes place.

Regardless, things are certainly rolling along. Production is expected to start this year for the film’s debut in February 2025. Expect to see a lot more news in the coming months as the big conventions start to open.

1. Jessica Jones Will Return in Daredevil: Born Again

Netflix’s Daredevil was one of the most popular Marvel shows on the streaming platform. It was also one of the first Marvel shows of its kind. Eventually, others followed like Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, and a team-up with all three called The Defenders. The Punisher starring Jon Bernthal was also a hit but was cut short. After Disney acquired Marvel, the fate of these shows hung in the balance. It wasn’t until the appearance of Matt Murdock in Spider-Man: No Way Home that made these shows canon once more in the MCU. With that appearance came an announcement a bit later about a new Daredevil show for Disney+ called Daredevil: Born Again. Lots of information has been released about the upcoming MCU show, including casting announcements. However, a new rumor states that Krysten Ritter will be returning as Jessica Jones for the Disney+ series.

Jessica Jones followed a private detective who would investigate and solve crimes. She however was dealing with her own demons, including an abusive ex. Her series did not last as long as Daredevil did, but it didn’t matter, as all of the Marvel shows on Netflix were cut short after Disney bought them. A new rumor suggests that that was not the last time fans would see this character, as Krysten Ritter is rumored to be reprising her role as the PI in six episodes of Daredevil: Born Again on Disney+.

With Jon Bernthal reprising his role as the Punisher in the Disney+ series, it's not too crazy that Krysten Ritter could be coming back as well. Fans will need some more good news, as it seems the original Foggy and Karen will not be in the Disney+ show.
