'Yellowstone' Will Come To CBS This Fall For The First Time
Cable television is no stranger to reruns and broadcast schedules. Streaming platforms have changed the game with their exclusivity and availability, however, exclusivity can only last so long. The Paramount Network series Yellowstone will be hitting CBS this fall! The television premiere will start from season one, airing every Sunday. Yellowstone is taking the 9 PM time slot, which was previously held by The Equalizer.
The neo-Western drama isn’t the only series making its live television debut in the coming fall lineup; Ms. Marvel will reportedly air on Disney-owned ABC, and SEAL Team will be returning to CBS every Thursday at 10 PM, picking up at season five. Other networks and shows are following en suite; it’s a logical move, considering that new episodes for anything cannot be counted upon. This is due to the current writer and actor strikes.
The Writers Guild of America (WGA) went on strike on May 2 after contract negotiations failed to meet a resolution. The primary goals for the WGA include fairer compensation and residuals in the streaming platform era, AI regulation, and other employment protection. The Screen Actors Guild - American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA) went on strike on July 13 following a brief negotiation extension. Their goals are very similar to that of the WGA, part of their focus being AI regulation and fairer residuals. Both groups are now picketing together for as long as the strike takes.
