Fans are clamoring for any information regarding the upcoming Sonic the Hedgehog 3 film, and with still no trailer in sight, they are taking whatever they can get. This especially extends to things that may only be tangentially related to the film. English songwriter and co-founder of bands Busted and Son of Dork James Bourne released a snippet of a Sonic-themed song on August 6th. Bourne has been teasing the song and its connection to the upcoming film since October of last year. However, this past July, Bourne stated that the song might not be used, but he was going to release it anyway.

The snippet in the Instagram post included the following lyrics:

Back in the Green Hill Zone
This time I’m on my own
You can’t get people on your phone so[…]

If the song is to be included in the film, some fans suggest that the song may indicate a return to Green Hill Zone, which was featured in the beginning of the first Sonic the Hedgehog film. However, the song has yet to be confirmed to be in the film. Sonic the Hedgehog 3 speeds into theaters on December 20th of this year. Hopefully, a trailer is just around the corner!
