'Wicked' Available To Buy Or Rent On Digital This New Year's Eve!
Wicked Part 1, the feature film adaptation of the popular Broadway musical, was released in theaters this past November. Fans will be surprised and delighted to learn they can begin streaming the film on all major streaming platforms on New Year’s Eve. The streaming platforms it will initially be available on include Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, Fandango Movies at Home (formerly Vudu), Microsoft Movies & TV, Cox, and Comcast Xfinity, however, the film will only be available via digital purchase/rental for right now.
The digital purchase of the film will come loaded with lots of extras, including extended/deleted scenes, a 40-minute “tour” of Oz, and a sing-a-long version of the movie in case fans want to join the characters in singing the songs in the film.

Pfannee and ShenShen meeting Glinda, followed by their reunion at Shiz University.
The Shiz Gazette, the student newspaper, introducing Fiyero to the campus, stirring up a whirlwind of buzz and excitement.

Elphaba and Fiyero sharing a moment in the forest while caring for a lost lion cub.
Elphaba making a promise to Glinda in hopes of strengthening their friendship.
A scenic trail ride to the Emerald City with Elphaba and Glinda.
An action-packed scene where Elphaba and Glinda race through a maze, chased by palace monkeys.
For those fans wanting a physical media copy, the film will subsequently be released on 4K UDH, DVD, and Blu-Ray on February 4, 2025. The film will eventually be able to be streamed on other streaming platforms as well, although there are currently no details on that.
