What We Know So Far About 'Star Wars: The Bad Batch' Season 2
It has been a while since we have heard anything regarding the adventures of Clone Force 99. We are likely to hear more coming from the Bad Batch Season 2 production, as Season 2 is set to release within this year. There are many questions with the Disney+ animated project that are hopefully going to be answered soon.
Not much is known regarding Season 2 of Star Wars: The Bad Batch, but we are optimistic that we are going to hear more from the team at Lucasfilm soon. Season 1 provided a wonderful transition between the events of Order 66 and how the galaxy is quickly transforming under the rule of the Empire. It also introduced us to the clone, Omega and showed us how even though they were brothers in arms, even clones can quickly turn on each other when faced with the opportunity. Here is what we know so far about the upcoming season of The Bad Batch.
RELATED:
The last time we saw Clone Force 99, they were caught in the destruction of Tipoca City, the clone’s home, on the water planet of Kamino. They had to work with Crosshair, a former member of their squadron that turned on them, in order to escape. One thing we did find out from this is that Crosshair was acting on his own merit, and was not being controlled by the microchips that influenced the clones to commit Order 66.
There is not much known about this season other than Dee Bradley Baker will return as the voice for all members of Clone Force 99. We do know that there is a Bad Batch panel to be held at Star Wars Celebration this upcoming month, but outside of this there has been very limited information to come out on the production of the upcoming season. There is no official release date for the show, outside of it being expected to return to the streaming platform in Spring 2022.
Clone Force 99, can be expected to be seen pretty much anywhere in the galaxy as they are each seeking their own place post-Clone Wars. We will likely continue to see them taking odd jobs and meeting new characters across the galaxy. These adventures are also very likely going to connect to The Mandalorian, as well as the upcoming Obi-Wan Kenobi show as Disney+ is building their Star Wars universe.
There are still many questions that Season 1 left us with, such as how are we going to see cloning programs continue within the galaxy as well as what is in store for the squadron as they search for their place in the galaxy. One of the last teases that the show gave us was the recovery of Nala Se, a Kaminoan cloning scientist, by the Empire. This leads many to believe that we are finally going to be able to see how many of the experiments conducted by the Empire actually occurred. It was also teased throughout the season that Omega, the youngest member of the squad, was also an enhanced clone. There are many different directions that they can take the character in, as we see her story development. Could she possibly be the first Force-sensitive clone?
The limited amount of information presented to us has led many to believe that the show is going to be delayed, however we are still optimistic that more will be revealed at the Star Wars Celebration presentation, and so many mysteries around the upcoming season will (hopefully) be revealed. What are you hoping to see from Season 2 of The Bad Batch?
