Paramount Television Studios is closing its doors. It produced several shows, including Reacher, Minority Report, Vinyl, Time Bandits, and The Spiderwick Chronicles. While the future of some of its currently ongoing shows is uncertain, we do have an indication that Reacher and other shows will be undergoing a studio change. Control of Paramount TV shows will be transferred over to CBS Studios. CBS Studios had already been involved in several of Paramount TV’s upcoming productions, including The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay and Love Story.

There is still some uncertainty regarding plenty of Paramount TV’s shows, but it does seem like Reacher is safe. Season 3 was confirmed before Season 2 premiered, and it’s already breaking streaming records on Amazon Prime Video. In addition, Skydance Television has already been working on Reacher, so there shouldn’t be any problems regarding the merger. However, there will surely be some growing pains with the transfer of control to CBS Studios, which may cause production delays.

As for other shows, their fates remain uncertain. Paramount Global seems interested in cutting costs during this merger, and some of its television output may become a casualty. Furthermore, CBS Studios might not have enough resources to support Paramount TV’s upcoming projects. Reacher may be safe, but other shows’ fates are uncertain.
