After the exciting reveal of Grand Admiral Thrawn’s casting during Star Wars Celebration, fans are excited for August’s debut of the Ahsoka series. Thrawn is one of the most popular Star Wars characters in existence, and he has been a major source of discussion after his transition from Legends to canon in Rebels, and Timothy Zahn’s reintroduction of him in the literature.

On Wednesday, Deadline revealed that Wes Chatham, who played Amos Burton on the hit sci-fi show The Expanse, will be joining Rosario Dawson (Ahsoka), Mary Elizabeth Winstead (Hera Syndulla), Natasha Liu Bordizzo (Sabine Wren), and Eman Esfandi (Ezra Bridger) in the upcoming Ahsoka series. It’s a late announcement given the show’s August debut on Disney+, and no specific details have been revealed about his character except that he will be Thrawn’s “right-hand man.” Who exactly could that be? There’s plenty of fan speculation out there centering around a character from the books featuring Thrawn, but nothing has been confirmed. There are likely to be more reveals in the coming months with major conventions like San Diego Comic-Con coming up.

Chatham has made several guest appearances in television shows, but his most prominent roles were as Carlton Phelan in The Help, Castor in The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, and Amos Burton in The Expanse. Amos’ fierce loyalty and brute-like approach to things made him a fan favorite in the series’ six seasons.

Ahsoka debuts on Disney+ this August.
