Despite plenty of controversy surrounding the film’s star Ezra Miller, the upcoming The Flash movie still has plenty of hype around it. Recently, actor Tom Cruise has seen the movie and thought so highly of it that he called the film’s director Andy Muschietti to say how much he liked it. He apparently described how it is “everything you want in a movie” and stated “this is the kind of movie we need now.” Cruise has had movie relevancy recently, having starred in Top Gun: Maverick.

Cruise’s interest in the movie started when he met with Warner Bros Discovery CEO David Zaslav, where Zaslav raved about it, causing Cruise to ask to see it. Zaslav complied, sending Cruise a copy of the film. The copy has since been returned to the studio.
