The universe of The Boys is continuing to expand with the release of several spin-off series, and a new one is now in the works! According to Deadline, The Boys: Mexico has Gareth Dunnet-Alcocer as a writer and producer. Dunnet-Alcocer is known for his work on Blue Beetle (2023), Contrapelo (2014), and Miss Bala (2019). Diego Luna and Gael García Bernal will reportedly also be executive producers for the spin-off, and may make minor appearances.

Specific plot details have yet to be released. It will be shot in the titular country; specific locations have not been identified. Full casting has not occurred yet, as the series is still being crafted and the budget is still being formulated.  There is a possibility for mainline story characters and elements to pop up, as they did in The Boys: Gen V.

The Boys is based on the comic book series of the same name created by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson. It was first published under Wildstorm, a DC imprint, before being canceled with them and picked up by Dynamite Entertainment. It is a dramatic comedy that focuses on what can happen in a corrupt, superhero-idolizing society and the effort of a group to tear the hypocritical “supes” down. The main live-action series adaptation was, and continues to be, developed by Eric Kripke.

The Boys: Mexico is still in extremely early stages of development; it may be a while before a release window is announced. In the meantime, all three seasons of The Boys, the first season of The Boys: Gen V, and the first season of The Boys Presents: Diabolical can be streamed on Amazon Prime Video.
