The Upcoming 'Avengers' Films Have Received New Titles And The Russo Brothers Are Directing
Despite seeing some signs of struggle recently, the MCU is beginning to bounce back as Deadpool and Wolverine begin to surge in the box office scores. Amid this rise in their stock, there are also some announcements about the future of the cinematic universe. It appears as if Kang The Conqueror is no longer the one who will carry the next phase. Instead, the names of the next two Avengers movies will be Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars, both of which will be directed by the Russo brothers.
Eagle-eyed fans may have realized the hint as to a fan-favorite villain who will be featured in the first of these movies. Avengers: Doomsday, formerly called Avengers: Kang Dynasty, will be the fifth film in the Avengers series. It will be the first since Avengers: Endgame and instead of featuring Kang The Conqueror from Loki and Antman And The Wasp Quantamania, will feature the villain Dr. Doom, known for his clashes with the Fantastic Four. What likely came as a surprise to many was the announcement of the casting of Dr. Doom: Robert Downey Jr, who also played Ironman earlier in the MCU.
