New York Comic Con is here, and that means some new announcements. Among them is a trailer for Netflix’s animated series Scott Pilgrim Takes Off, based on the graphic novels. This trailer consists of a series of scenes showing off the premise and story, many of which will be familiar to fans of the comic book and movie. Netflix has been teasing the show’s production since its announcement, and it appears as though production has been going smoothly. The animation looks good and reflects the art style of the original graphic novels by Bryan Lee O'Malley. This is the latest in a series of adaptations produced by the streaming giant.

Scott Pilgrim Takes Off is scheduled for a release on November 17. It features most of the cast of the live-action 2010 movie, Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, including Michael Cera as Scott Pilgrim, Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Ramona Flowers, Brie Larson as Envy Adams, and Chris Evans as Lucas Lee. Meanwhile, the film’s director, Edgar Wright, and writer, Michael Bacall are serving as executive producers. Animator Abel Góngora will be directing, with Lee O’Malley and BenDavid Grabinski serving as writers and developers. The animation will be provided by the Japanese studio Science Saru.
