'The Mandalorian & Grogu' Due In Theaters In 2026
New concept art for The Mandalorian and Grogu was shown at Brazil D23. The wide shot of hangars on a desert world was one of several big reveals for Star Wars fans at the convention.
Attendees were also treated to exclusive footage featuring Zeb Orrelios, Din Djarin facing off with snowtroopers, and Grogu traveling with two tiny Anzellans. But none of this has been made public, and we will likely not see a teaser trailer until Star Wars Celebration 2025. So, the rest of us will just have to wait.
Disney spilled the beans on the release date on their Q1 earnings call, but this is the first time we’ve seen any artwork confirming it. The Mandalorian and Grogu poster vaguely says it will be in theatres in 2026. However, it’s known from that call that May 22nd is pencilled in. The date might change depending on how Jon Favreau’s shoot goes.
There’s still no word on whether season 4 of The Mandalorian is cancelled for good or if The Mandalorian and Grogu will support rather than replace further Mandoverse content. It may depend on how the movie is received or how easy it is to book Pedro Pascal after Fantastic Four comes out!
