The 'John Wick' Franchise Surpasses A Global Milestone: $1 Billion At The Box Office

As the John Wick franchise continues to grow, the total gross of the franchise has reached a total of over $1 billion. The total amount is $1,011,319,297, which already has some wiggle room above the $1 billion line. Each movie in the series has made more than its predecessor. The first movie, simply called John Wick made only $87.8 million, with the second one, John Wick: Chapter 2 making almost double that at $171.54 million. John Wick: Chapter 3 Parabellum made a total of $326.7 million, with the fourth one, John Wick: Chapter 4 having made a total of $425.3 million so far. Given the fact that this movie will be released in Japan in the fall, and is still being shown in many other countries, the total amount will inevitably raise.
In an interview about reaching the $1 billion landmark, Lionsgate Chair Joe Drake stated “This milestone is a testament to the incredible work of Chad Stahelski and Keanu Reeves, alongside Basil Iwanyk and Erica Lee, who have made it their mission to outdo themselves with each successive film in this franchise. We could not be more grateful to global moviegoers for bringing us to this incredible achievement.”
