The First Trailer For The 'Yakuza: Like A Dragon' Amazon Prime Series Has Been Released
It's day 2 of San Diego Comic-Con and theres already been plenty of announcements. One of these announcements was the release of the first trailer for the upcoming Prime Video series, Yakuza: Like A Dragon. The 8-episode show will adapt the first Yakuza game, and tell the start of protagonist Kazuma Kiryu's story.
The trailer starts with the familiar TVs of the Florist, showcasing the various moments from the game. We then see a needle with ink start to create Kiryu’s famous dragonfish back tattoo. The trailer shows different moments from the upcoming series, such as Kiryu's (Ryoma Takeuchi) training. We also get to see Kiryu’s oathbrother turned rival, Akira Nishikiyama. Various sights around Kamurocho are shown, including the iconic sign that welcomes you. We don’t get glimpses of many individual Yakuza members, except for Futoshi Shimano, who is getting a katana ready for battle. He is not nearly as huge as his video game counterpart, but hopefully, he’ll be just as menacing. There was no sign of a fan-favorite character, Goro Majima. The music played in the background was incredible and really fits the tone of the upcoming show.
