The HBO original based on Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us is back for another season, and it looks like it's going to be based on Part 2. The official teaser trailer for season 2 has been released on the 27th, giving us a glimpse at new characters and stories. Already there is bound to be speculation over the season’s story, will it address fan complaints about Part 2, or will it go all in? Neil Druckmann is returning to write, so he’s one of the few people who knows how it all turns out. We can only speculate as to what his intentions are.

The Last of Us is an HBO Original co-produced by Sony Pictures Television, PlayStation Productions, Naughty Dog, the Mighty Mint, and Word Games. It stars Pedro Pascal as main protagonist Joel Miller, and Bella Ramsey as Ellie. Joining them in season 2 are Kaitlyn Dever as Abby, Young Mazino as Jesse, Isabela Merced as Dina and Jeffrey Wright as Isaac Dixon, the latter reprising his role from The Last of Us Part 2. The series is also available on Max, with the second season ready to premiere sometime in 2025. Until then, we’ll be on the lookout for more news.
