The production of Final Destination 6 has just announced not one, but two directors, Zach Lipovsky and Adam B Stein. The team behind Disney’s Kim Possible and Freaks went above and beyond to land the coveted gig. During a Zoom call with studio bosses, Stein and Lipovsky staged a fire breaking out and a ceiling fan dropping down and decapitating the pair. Apparently, it was more than just a willingness to fake their own deaths that got them the job, the special effects were also up to the high standard of the franchise!

Final Destination 6 is shaping up to have an impressive team, with Jon Watts (Spiderman: Homecoming) producing, Lori Evans Taylor (Wicked Wicked Games), and Guy Busick (Scream 2021) penning the script. So far there are no hints about the plot, in a recent interview, creator Jeffrey Riddick hinted that they are going to be changing up the standard format, so be prepared for twists and turns.

Final Destination 5 made 157 million at the box office so there’s still an appetite for these horror films, which considering that the first movie came out in 2000 is incredible. The original concept was written for an unaired X-Files episode and is still going. As of yet, there is no release date for Final Destination 6, but we’ll keep you posted!
