And so a scheduling mystery has been solved after all three DC Comics-based series were missing from The CW’s midseason schedule. The network has announced the premiere date for both the new Gotham Knights and the third season of Superman & Lois. As it turns out, the two shows will be airing together. Superman & Lois has set its return for Tuesday, March 14 at 8 PM, while Gotham Knights will follow at 9 PM.

In Gotham Knights, Batman’s death has left Gotham City unprotected, and his adopted son, Turner Hayes (played by Oscar Morgan) has been framed for it. At least Bruce Wayne’s anyway. The predicament involves him teaming up with the also-accused Duela Dent, Harper and Cullen Row, Stephanie Brown, and even Carrie Kelley (presumably the incumbent Robin). They realize that this was all orchestrated by a villainous force within Gotham City and must work to find out who.

Superman & Lois season three picks up pretty quickly after the second. Clark and Lois (played by Tyler Hoechlin and Bitsie Tulloch) are now working together at the Smallville Gazette as they are finally settled back in his hometown. Lois’ work-life balance will struggle following undercover work that reveals the next foe, one that will cause long-term disruption in the family. Jordan (Alex Garfin) and Jonathan (now played by Michael Bishop) continue to grow apart, as the former finds meaning in his superhero identity as he navigates his relationship with Sarah now that she knows, and Jonathan searches for a purpose that doesn’t involve football but brings him in conflict with his grandfather Gen. Sam Lane at the Department of Defense.

The third series missing, The Flash, was given a February 8 final season premiere date just the week before. With the direction the new owners, Nexstar, seem to be taking The CW, there might not be a lot of time left for these shows either.
