The results of the Golden Globes awards were announced on Sunday evening. Some of the year’s biggest films, like Barbie and Oppenheimer, claimed multiple awards while The Boy and the Heron won best-animated film. Everyone’s favorite Iron Man, Robert Downey Jr., was awarded for his supporting role in Oppenheimer, and Cillian Murphy claimed an award for his lead role in the same film.

Jo Koy hosted the event at the Beverly Hilton. The Golden Globes ceremony gives out awards for various categories in the film and television industries. A majority of the categories focus on the actor’s performances, although there are also overall best film or TV program categories as well as awards for directors, composers, and box office performance. Thanks to a grassroots social media campaign, Barbie took home that last award.
