It’s no question now that the 2020s have their horror icon. The 80s had the likes of Freddy, Jason, and Michael. The 90s had Ghostface and Candyman. The 2000s had Jigsaw. Now, the 2020s have their indisputable horror icon: Art the Clown from the Terrifier movies. First introduced in an anthology short called All Hallows Eve, Art has transformed into arguably the most brutal and sadistic killer to ever grace the silver screen. While his initial appearances weren’t well received by critics, Terrifier 2 put Art on the map and solidified his place alongside the heavyweights of the genre. While not quite as well received as the second film, Terrifier 3 was still a hit at the box office and garnered a respectful enough 77% approval rating with the critics on Rotten Tomatoes.

Now that the film has completed its theatrical run, it is already available to stream on Prime and Apple TV, among others. If you want a physical copy, then you might be in luck when it comes to getting it for Christmas, as the new holiday slasher will be released on December 17th on not just DVD and Blu-Ray, but the film is coming out with a 4K Ultra HD steelbook, in case you want the best of Art the Clown dicing people during the holiday season.

However you decide to watch it, Art the Clown is taking the next steps to haunt our small screens again.
