Art the Clown

In the pantheon of horror icons, killer Art the Clown has established himself as one of the new up-and-comers to fear. With his mix of humor, menace, incredible performances by David Howard Thornton, who has mime training, and gallons upon gallons of fake blood with every kill, Art is one clown you don’t want to mess with.

The first Terrifier film received mixed reviews, but the second was well-received by audiences and critics alike. The main complaint that there seems to be about the second, far bloodier film is that it’s too long. The first film clocked in at a mere hour and twenty-five minutes, while the second one was two hours and eighteen minutes long. A lot of people felt that a bit of fat could have been trimmed to keep the runtime down.

According to the director, we’re not getting as long of a film this time around. On Damien Leone’s official X (formerly Twitter) account, he’s revealed that the third film, one set during Christmas, will be shorter than the second one, though he hasn’t stated by how much. He could be messing with us and the film is two hours and seventeen minutes. He did joke “Who’s happy it’s shorter and who wishes it was five hours long?”

However long the film is, it’s certain that we’ll get the hyper-gory kills that the series is known for. The third, and supposedly final, film will have a lot of brutality in store for us.
