Taylor Swift Will Make Her Directorial Debut 'All Too Well' At The Toronto Film Festival
Most fans know Taylor Swift for her singing, songwriting, and occasional acting, but she can now add director to her list of talents. During the 2022 Toronto Film Festival, the artist screened a 35mm version of her 14-minute short film All Too Well which she had written and directed to accompany the 10-minute version of her song that was released last year.
After the screening of the 35mm version, it was announced that Taylor would be making her feature-length directorial debut with Searchlight pictures. Details on the project are being kept secret, but we do know that she has written an original screenplay that will be produced by the studio.

In November 2021, Taylor Swift released her rerecording of Red, her fourth studio album. To fans' surprise, it included a vaulted 10-minute version of the song All Too Well which had been a fan favorite since the album's initial release in 2012. Taylor surprised fans further when she released the short film on YouTube shortly after the album dropped. The film starred Stranger Things and The Fear Street Trilogy’s Sadie Sink and Teen Wolf’s Dylan O’Brien and depicted a toxic relationship unfolding over the course of many years and the impact that had on both parties. Taylor also released a behind-the-scenes video on her YouTube account two days ago to give fans a glimpse into how the short film was made and what inspired her to make it.
