You Wouldn’t Believe How Expensive These ‘Star Wars’ Props Are Being Auctioned Off For
Star Wars has some of the most iconic pieces of fiction in all time, from the blasters to the lightsabers. For years fans have made various replicas of these props. Some were more authentic than others, but each made with the love and passion a Star Wars fan can give to it. Over the years, we have seen several crafters emerge in the fan community, making beautiful replicas of famous items from the galaxy far, far away. According to CBR, Prop Store is holding the Entertainment Memorabilia Live Auction where there will be many original props and costumes from the Star Wars franchise. Darth Maul’s actual lightsaber from The Phantom Menace is valued at $55,00- $82,500. Other items come from various Star Wars eras, from A New Hope to The Last Jedi to Rogue One. C-3PO’s hand from Empire Strikes Back is estimated to be $20,610- $27, 480. Darth Vader’s costume is valued at $13,740- $20,610. On the other hand, a stormtrooper helmet from Return of the Jedi is roughly $137,400- $206,100. Not surprisingly, an ILM X-Wing filming miniature from the same film is going for $274,800- $412,200. It is amazing to see just how far the fandom will go to get their hands on something from their favorite franchise. It is understandable. The idea of owning something from the Star Wars is fascinating. While this is all make believe, owning a replica feels like owning something from the universe itself.

Buying items that existed in Star Wars is nothing new for fans of the franchise, be it a replica or an original prop from the film. Even Disney itself is getting into the business. Various replicas of all the famous lightsabers from the galaxy far, far away are available for purchase at Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland and Disney World.
