Steven Knight, Writer Of New Jedi Order Era 'Star Wars' Movie, Reveals Thoughts On Working With The Franchise

Recently, former writer of the New Jedi Order Rey film, Steven Knight, took a break from his work on the Peaky Blinders film to discuss his experience working on this future Star Wars entry.
In the interview, Knight described the process of working on a Star Wars film as "like stepping into a hurricane" due to the franchise's passionate fanbase. He praised Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy, calling her "a pleasure to work with" and commending the studio's team as "smart people who know their craft."

Knight concluded his work on the project a few months ago, and his replacement is the acclaimed screenwriter George Nolfi. Knight expressed hope that some of his contributions will make it into the final cut, stating;
“And I always knew the process then moves on… So, I don’t know what of the [writing] that I’ve submitted is going to end up in whatever the next incarnation of that [movie] is. It’s just great to be there and to be part of that.”
