‘Star Wars: Visions’ Second Season To Arrive 2023

Various characters from the first season of Star Wars: Visions

Star Wars: Visions is one of the more unique projects that Lucasfilm has made so far. Visions is a collection of animated shorts produced by various anime studios from Japan. Visions is not canon; they are stories without restriction. So, Lucasfilm will want to capitalize on this by making more, so they have officially announced a Visions Volume 2 for the Spring of 2023.

It seems this time, though, we won’t just focus on anime from Japan but will have studios from all over the world contribute to the Star Wars galaxy. Countries like Ireland, Chile, Spain, South Africa, and France, to name a few, will give their spin on this beautiful world that George Lucas created. It’s a great idea to see how other countries interpret Star Wars in their own culture. However, as one Lucasfilm executive said during the panel, anime has a bright future in Star Wars, and they aren’t quite done with it yet.

This is an exciting time for the future of Lucasfilm and the animation realm, as the Star Wars galaxy continues to expand into whole new territories and new stories in the coming future.
