'Sonic The Hedgehog' Star Confirms Expansion Of Sonicverse

The upcoming Sonic the Hedgehog 3 film has led to several questions regarding what's in the film and the future of the Sonic Cinematic Universe. However, the voice of Tails, Colleen O'Shaughnessy, has some answers to some of those questions. Firstly, she has confirmed that the third film would not be the last, stating, “Sonic 3 won't be the last movie as the universe is expanding.”
Another burning question fans have is whether or not Sonic's self-proclaimed love interest, Amy Rose, will be featured in the film. O'Shaughnessy did not comment on this but she did smile when asked the question. Perhaps this is a sign that the pink hammer-wielding hedgehog may be in the film but the veteran voice actress can't say anything just yet. Many people behind the upcoming film have been coy about Amy, leading to some speculation that she may have some part in the movie.

Colleen O'Shaughnessy also commented that she would love to see a show or movie centered around Team Chaotix, a team featured in Sonic Heroes consisting of Vector the Crocodile, Espio Chameleon, and Charmy Bee (also voiced by O'Shaughnessy). These characters made their first appearance in the SEGA 32X game Knuckles Chaotix, and many were hoping they would be featured in the Knuckles show on Paramount+. Though they did not appear, the show's success may lead to more expansions of the Sonic Cinematic Universe. Regardless, the next installment in the SCU, Sonic the Hedgehog 3, speeds into theaters on December 20th.
