Sonic Frontiers is currently at Tokyo Games Show, and to kick it off, SEGA just released a new trailer showing off several new shots of cinematics and gameplay. The trailer starts with Sonic approaching a wide open wasteland. It then transitions into him taking on monstrous mechanical foes, casually hitching a ride on a large creature, and using the seven chaos emeralds to transform into Super Sonic. All of this is underscored by the ending theme by One OK Rock, “Vandalize,” making for an intense and action-packed showing for the upcoming title.

Reactions to the trailer on social media are overwhelmingly positive, with some wondering why this trailer wasn't shown for Sonic Frontiers in the beginning. Some did question whether or not the game was giving away the ending too soon, with Super Sonic appearing to fight a boss, but it appears that Sonic will be gathering the seven chaos emeralds on each island and transforming into the form to defeat each of these bosses. Regardless, it seems that people are especially excited about Super Sonic being involved in the main story, which has not happened since Sonic Generations in 2011. Sonic Frontiers speeds onto all major platforms on November 8th, 2022, and is currently available for pre-order.
