Season 2 Of 'The Rings Of Power' Introduces New Character Estrid, But Who Is She?

As is the case with almost all prequels, The Rings Of Power is adding a lot of lore to its parent series. Estrid, the newest character in Tolkien’s epic The Lord of The Rings franchise has been turning some heads.
After Mount Doom erupted, she was captured by orcs and freed by Sauron. She was trying to find other Southlanders who survived the explosion when she met Isildur. Little else is known about Estrid. Although she did side with the antagonists of the series, that doesn’t mean she’s evil. It seems as if she was blackmailed into doing so, which says less about her morals and more about the fact that she simply values her own life. She could have some connection to Aragorn, who is a descendant of Isildur. Given the fact that Isildur and Estrid seem to be linked together, she may be connected to Atagorn.
Fans no doubt will be excited to see what this new character brings to the storied franchise.
