Here’s A Look At Some Of The New Original Content Coming To Disney+
Today is the day all fans of Disney+ have been waiting for. Two years ago today Disney launched the streaming service for fans across the globe to have a one stop destination for all their favorite content. It was expected that a plethora of new content would be announced today and Disney definitely delivered. Let's dive right into what the fans want to know. What new shows and movies did the House of Mouse announce today?
First off we have a remake of Cheaper By the Dozen starring Zach Braff and Gabrielle Union which will see the classic story retold through the eyes of their family of twelve. For fans of the old Cheaper By the Dozen films this should offer an exciting modern look at the daily escapades of such a large family. This one is definitely intriguing to see what themes the film will explore and if it will be as traditionally funny as the past films. The film will be released in March of 2022.

Next up Disney continues to partner with National Geographic to bring us top of the line nature documentaries. This time they have enlisted the help of Chris Hemsworth (Thor) and Will Smith (Aladdin). Hemsworth stars in Limitless where he goes to extreme lengths to continue to push his body the absolute furthest both mentally and physically. In Welcome to Earth, Will Smith journeys to places almost no human being has seen before in order to capture videos and photographs of some of the most underrated species in nature. This series will hit Disney+ on December 8th.

Now onto some titles that are sure to get young families sitting in front of the television together. First up is Pixar’s Win or Lose which is about a middle school softball team and their coach as they try and navigate towards the championship. Disney has not released anything other than an official poster so keep an eye out for this one. It has been reported that each episode will center around a different member of the team. Current release timeline is 2023.

Cars was one of the biggest properties Disney has had over the course of the last fifteen years and fans of the three movies can now expect a continuation. Cars on the Road will see Lightning McQueen and Mater head out on a cross country road trip. It should be noted that Owen Wilson and Larry the Cable guy will be reprising their roles as Lightning and Mater, respectively.

Fan favorites Ice Age and Big Hero 6 have all new adventures coming as well. Fans of Ice Age will not have to wait long as the Ice Age Adventures of Buck Wild will hit the platform on January 28th. Baymax continues the adventures of the healing companion as he tackles one patient at a time in a show that seems to focus more on the everyday practicality of his use. It should lend well to very over the top situational humor. Maybe we will see various characters from Big Hero 6 return as well in some capacity. This one sure has a lot of potential.

Last but certainly not least and coming sooner rather than later is Peter Jackson's three part series The Beatles Get Back. That one hits Disney+ on November 25th and looks into the world's most recognizable band. It should provide long time fans with insightful behind the scenes information on their favorite band. The Beatles have taken the world by storm and their music continues to live on even now. It will be intriguing to see what Jackson delivers with this one.
