'Saw' Will See Its Tenth Entry Hit Theaters Halloween 2023 With The Return Of Director Kevin Greutert

When you look at the Mount Rushmore of slasher bad guys you will have the typical characters like Jason Vorhees, Michael Myers, and Leatherface but after 9 movies and now an expected 10th in the series, Jigsaw must be in the running for the role. In an interview exclusively with Bloody Disgusting, Kevin Greutert has been announced as the director for the next entry in the Saw franchise. The franchise is a billion-dollar series and with the recent slight success of the Jigsaw series, it was time to head back to the torture horror series.
Kevin Greutert is no stranger to the franchise having worked as an editor for Saw 1-5 and directed Saw VI and Saw: The Final Chapter. Lionsgate and Twisted Pictures are excited about the new project, which is expected to be released in October 2023. The franchise producers Mark Burg and Oren Koules also appear to be excited about the movie and who we have at the helm by saying, “We have been listening to what the fans have been asking for and are hard at work planning a movie that Saw aficionados and horror fans alike will love.”
