Barbie fever is in full swing for the 96th Oscars ceremony. Ryan Gosling, who played Barbie’s friend Ken in the box office hit, has agreed to sing the film’s “I’m Just Ken” song at the Oscars.

Initially, the actor was worried about the optics of performing and then losing the Oscar to another talented actor. Gosling told Variety, “I think it would be too much of a risk to have me do it. I don’t know how that would work but I’m open to it.”

Since then, the actor’s tune has changed, according to undisclosed sources from Variety. Gosling will, after all, sing the smash song, which found its way to several viral videos over the summer of Barbie. Even if the Oscar goes to Robert Downey, Jr. for his role in Oppenheimer, Gosling will be content to be Kenough at the celebration. It’s worth mentioning that both Gosling and the song are up for Oscar nominations, so it’s possible that Gosling misses out on an Oscar while the song he performs receives one.

Another Barbie song (“What Was I Made For?”) was also nominated for an Oscar, and the film itself has no shortage of Oscar nominations. The Oscars are a night of celebrating achievements in television and film; Gosling just found another way to add to the celebration.
