So many announcements for Disney, Pixar, Marvel, and Star Wars fans have come out of the D23 event in Anaheim, California this past weekend. Diego Luna, Cassian Andor in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, and Andor, had a few clips to share with the D23 audience, including a first look at Andor season two.

The Andor season two trailer confirmed the return of Rogue One’s Ben Mendelsohn as Orson Krennic, Forest Whitaker as Saw Gerrera, and Alan Tudyk as K-2SO. Adria Arjona (Bix Calleen), Genevieve O’Reilly (Mon Mothma), Kyle Soller (Syril Karn), Stellan Skarsgård (Luthen Rael), Alex Lawther (Karis Nemik), and Andy Serkis (Kino Loy) will be back from season one of Andor as well. This season will be the last chapter, taking place over four years, before their stories continue in 2016’s Rogue One.

Season two will examine how Cassian Andor and the rebels take their revolution public and expand their reach to other areas of the galaxy. As Luna put it, we’ll see Andor “grow into the rebel hero we see fulfill his destiny with the ultimate sacrifice in Rogue One.” This interconnected sequence of stories presents an out-of-this-world narrative, leading from Andor to Rogue One, and, of course, to Star Wars: A New Hope. Being able to follow the Rebel Alliance’s birth to the pivotal moments that spark the original trilogy will create a cohesive and immersive saga spanning both years and light years. The wait is almost over -- Andor season two will arrive in 2025.
