'Rick And Morty' Season Seven Trailer Released, First Taste Of New Voice Actors
A new trailer for Rick and Morty’s seventh season was released, revealing new voices for the principal characters. The new season is set to premiere on October 15 at 11pm on Adult Swim. Two new voice actors were brought in for Rick and Morty due to the ousting of co-creator Justin Roiland due to misconduct allegations. An insider at Adult Swim said of the change, “We want the show to speak for itself. We believe in the strength of the season and our new voices, and we want to preserve the viewing experience for fans.”
The official synopsis for the upcoming season does allude to the new castings, “Rick and Morty are back and sounding more like themselves than ever! It’s season seven, and the possibilities are endless: what’s up with Jerry? EVIL Summer?! And will they ever go back to the high school?! Maybe not! But let’s find out!…”

The new casting announcement comes after Justin Roiland was let go from the production in January after charges of domestic abuse came to light, along with details of harmful direct messages between himself and a fan alongside past interview comments, which were problematic, to say the least. However, in March, the criminal charges against Roiland were dropped in Orange County, California.
Rick and Morty was the top comedy program for Adult Swim for the past four years. The show won two Emmys during its tenure and is currently nominated for a third.
