The mystery comedy-drama stars Russian Doll’s Natasha Lyonne as Charlie Cane, a human lie detector who uses their ability to solve crimes. Johnson writes and directs the pilot, although he is not the series’ showrunner. Four episodes will be released on the premiere day, with the remaining episodes coming out weekly thereafter.
Each episode will feature new locations in the series’ case-of-the-week format. This means Poker Face will see many guest stars like Tim Blake Nelson, Jameela Jamil, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Tim Meadows, Luis Guzmán, Adrien Brody, Lil Rel Howery, Ron Perlman, Rhea Perlman, Rowan Blanchard, and S. Epatha Merkerson.
While The Last Jedi director still has a third Knives Out mystery in the pipeline, he plans to make more. He is also hoping to make that long-talked-about new Star Wars trilogy.
