As superhero properties continue to dominate the entertainment industry, the ever-popular character of Batman is continuing to get more attention. He is going to be appearing in the upcoming Amazon Prime series Batman: Caped Crusader. A trailer was released to X by @DiscussingFilm, featuring the villains Clayface (played by Dan Donohue) and Onomatopoeia (played by Reid Scott). This is an addition to the already announced villains Harley Quinn, Catwoman, Two-Face, and The Penguin. Bruce Timm, J.J. Abrams, and Matt Reeves are all involved in the production of the series.

"Batman is so early in his career that in the first episode, he’s still an urban myth. It’s not ‘Year One’, it’s more like ‘Week Two.’ Tim stated. "I wanted to make him kind of weird, and spooky.  If you’re stuck in a room with Batman, whether you’re Commissioner Gordon or Barbara Gordon or Renee Montoya, you don’t feel comfortable. You’re kind of like, ‘What is this guy? What’s this all about?"

The series will premiere on August 1, with all 10 episodes being released at once.
