Frontier Games has been doing rather well in the last few years. They released a widely popular zoo builder, Planet Zoo, as a spiritual successor to their theme park builder, Planet Coaster, as well as landing the license to put out not, not two, but soon to be three Jurassic Park park builders.

Then, not two months ago, they announced the actual successor to Planet Coaster is coming this fall. Now, Frontier has finally revealed that the actual release date will be November 6th!

Back in July when the game was revealed, Frontier really drove home the newest feature of the game with the inclusion of water park rides and attractions. It was a long-desired addition that was found to be missing from the first game. The inclusion of some aquatic animals in Planet Zoo was perhaps the precursor or trial run they needed to feel confident going forward with water-based rides and attractions for Planet Coaster 2.

Along with the announcement, it was revealed that there would be two options for players to pre-order the game. There was the typical standard edition, but for about 15 dollars more, players could get the deluxe edition that came with a special ride pack that is listed as the vintage funfair pack. This vintage pack comes with 10 extra rides that are based on old-school funfair rides that are common sites at the traveling fairs people see pop up in parking lots across the country.

The rides included are a Grand Carousel, the Chair-O-Plane, the Helter Skelter (an amusement tower), the Monte Leone spinning ride, the Hyperspin, and the Buoyancy. There’s also the City Peninsula, an old school wooden roller coaster accompanied by other wooden coasters like a side-friction side coaster, a 2-seater wooden coaster, and a Dark Kinetics antique powered car track ride.

The game is available for pre-order now through the game’s site and platforms like Steam.
