Phil Tippett, A Legendary VFX Artist, Founded Tippett Productions To Produce Film And Television
Deadline recently reported an exclusive with Phil Tippett’s production team of the ‘Mad God’, saying the collaborative efforts of Tippett Studios and Ultra 8 Pictures are to form Tippett Productions based in Canada. Tippet Studio’s chief operating officer Gary Mundell, also known for his contribution as a CG Supervisor in Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within (2001) will be supporting the first set of projects led by duo Collin Geddes and Katarina Gligorijevic.
Phil Tippett’s directorial debut through the film ‘Mad God’ has already won 6 awards after premiering last year and has been viewed in over 20 different film festivals, also available to stream on Shudder.

Reflecting on Geddes and Gligorijevic’s past joint projects such as Replace, The Void, Bad Blood: The Movie, and The Demon’s Rook should be enough to get horror fans excited for Tippet Production’s future endeavors. The two producers have already built a massive platform in Canadian horror for the past decade. Gedde worked tirelessly to build Ultra 9 Pictures through his film experience and many consultations with international sales and distribution companies to help filmmakers with their marketing and sales strategies claiming the title of “one of the world’s foremost horror experts”, and Gligorijevic worked just as hard to get her name out there in several films’ credits while also working with REEL CANADA, an organization that introduces students to a variety of Canadian films through hundreds of annual one-day festivals since 2007.
Deadline went on to quote Mundells, Geddes’ and Tippetts's excitement:
“As a visual effects company, Tippett Studio is consistently at the top of its game, with projects like The Book of Boba Fett, The Mandalorian, Locke and Key and others… But we’re also eager to build on the incredible momentum we’ve achieved with Mad God and expand into making more of our own original content. With Phil’s creative vision and the team we’ve assembled, this feels like the next natural evolution of the Tippett brand.” - Gary Mundell
Tippet Studios not only opened an office in Toronto, Ontario earlier this year but also just posted a small variety of production job opportunities on their website’s pulldown menu for possibly the same Canadian venture.
“Our teams on the East and West Coasts combine creatively to form a dynamic powerhouse, stronger than the finest Canadian Lager, tougher than the Cabbage Town Tunnel Monster, and sweeter than the Sasquatch.” - From Tippett’s Canada Portal
