Pedro Pascal Cast In 'Fantastic Four'

Pedro Pascal will be playing Reed Richards in Marvel Studio’s Fantastic Four movie. Rumors have been going around about the casting since Thanksgiving, but this week the SAG-AFTRA posted an actor bio, listing Mr Fantastic in his credits. The post was promptly edited once they realised their mistake. But director, Matt Shakman (WandaVision), the one of only a handful to be officially signed up to the project, shared it on social media. As much of a confirmation as you can get, without any official announcement.
Pascal isn’t the only star whose name has been associated with the new reboot. Ebon Moss-Bachrach (Andor, The Punisher) has been linked to the role of Ben Grimm aka The Thing and Vanessa Kirby (The Mission Impossible franchise, The Crown) is believed to be playing Sue Storm aka The Invisible Woman.

Marvel’s Fantastic Four is the third attempt to get a successful movie franchise off the ground. The first was in 1992, however, the most well-known are the two 20th Century Fox films, The Fantastic Four (2005) and The Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer (2007). Marvel Studios version is due to be released as part of phase 6. The date has already been put back three times due to the SAG-AFTRA strike and is now expected to be May 2025.
But the question on everyone’s lips has to be….will Marvel make Pedro Pascal shave his moustache off?
