Nicki Aycox, Best Known For Her Role On 'Supernatural' Passed Away At Age 47
Nicki Aycox, best known for her role as Meg Masters in Supernatural, was confirmed to have died by her sister-in-law on 16 November at age 47.
Born on 26 May 1975, Aycox lived in Oklahoma, where she played music on the family piano from the age of nine, performing Beethoven for audiences around the US state. A family financial setback forced her to sell the piano, which pushed her toward theatre. Winning awards from drama competitions, she soon found herself enrolled in the Long Beach State University theatre department. During her second year there, a signing with a small agency in Hollywood set her career into motion.
For her first few years, she appeared in a guest role on the likes of Weird Science, Double Tap, and Significant Others. Her first full role would come with the 1999 TV series Providence, where she played Lily Gallagher across the first season. From that point, her career flourished, with many roles across the years until she retired from acting in 2014. Picking up her love of music again, she played guitar and sang for audiences across America.
Diagnosed with leukemia in 2020, Aycox shared updates about her fight through her Cashews and Olives healthy lifestyle Instagram, which she started at the end of 2018. Though she was a fighter and wasn’t letting it get her down, the battle was lost. May she rest in peace.
