New 'Witcher' Video Game Trilogy To Be Released Over The Next Six Years
The Witcher fans rejoice. Three new games have just been announced, but it's going to be a while before we see them. CD Projekt Red has announced three new Witcher games that will come out over a six-year period. The next Witcher game is currently being called Project Polaris and is now in pre-production. So, it'll be a while before the six-year period begins.
The next game will be similar to The Witcher 3, a "story-driven, open world RPG." The game's subject matter is still yet to be revealed, but one detail may have already been released- the school the protagonist is from.
The Witcher 4 was announced with an image of a cat-like medallion on Twitter. Many fans thought this meant the School of the Cat, and others thought it looked more like the School of the Lynx. The School of the Cat is a school that was founded by Lambert, sorceress Kiera Metz and other veterans of the school.
Three new Witcher games over the next six years is very exciting for fans of The Witcher games. Hopefully, CD Projekt Red is prepared for the release of these games and has learned from their release of Cyberpunk 2077.
