New Set Images From ‘Guardians Of The Galaxy Volume 3’ Show Gamora And Star-Lord Reuniting

Since the trailer and release date was revealed for Guardians Of The Galaxy Volume 3, new information about the third film in the MCU series has come out. The Guardians Of The Galaxy Holiday Special had Peter Quill dealing with the loss of Gamora after she died at Thanos’s hand during Avengers: Infinity War. A new image of Chris Pratt as Peter Quill reuniting with Zoe Saldana as Gamora has been released by Entertainment Weekly.

Even though the image shows Peter and Gamora together, Volume 3 will seem to focus on Rocket’s story. James Gunn wanted to return to the series to finally tell Rocket’s story, as he felt like Rocket has always been “the secret protagonist of the Guardians movies.” He also mentions how they each have their own traumas that have brought them together, but that Rocket’s is a bit more extreme.

Marvel has also released the synopsis for the highly anticipated third movie. While Mantis and Drax cheered up Peter in the Holiday Special, the loss of Gamora is still felt. He, however, needs to rally his team to defend the universe and protect one of their own. If not successful, it could lead to the end of the Guardians as we know them.

While Gamora is back, she is a different version from the one fans have come to know. Since the original Gamora died in Infinity War, Peter and the rest of the Guardians will have to figure out how this Gamora fits in with them.
