While promoting the release of Deadpool & Wolverine with Inverse, Kevin Feige made some comments regarding Vision Quest. The Marvel Studios President stated that his choice of showrunner for the series was based on seeing the third season of Star Trek: Picard.

Feige mentioned that upon concluding his watch of that third season, he felt “This is incredible. I don’t know how this exists. Let me find the person who made this.” That person is Terry Matalas. Feige isn’t alone in his thoughts about the third season of Star Trek: Picard, as it has seen a lot of critical acclaim since its release. The possibility of Vision Quest being a series just as well regarded seems to be Feige’s plan.

Not much is known about Vision Quest as yet, except that it will see the return of Paul Bettany portraying Vision. This Disney+ series focuses on the events that follow from WandaVision, much like the upcoming Agatha All Along, which will premiere later this year. Though details of Vision Quest’s plot are unknown, there’s speculation that it will involve finding Billy Maximoff, the son of Wanda and Vision who disappeared at the end of WandaVision. A reincarnated version of Billy Maximoff is speculated to appear in Agatha All Along, who could also play a part in that plot.
