New Info About 'Harry Potter' Reboot Detailed
The Harry Potter reboot series has had people talking non-stop since Max announced it last year. Between the dream casts and spin-off ideas fans were sharing on social media, you would think that there had been tons of information being shared. Unfortunately, information about the upcoming series was nowhere to be found until this summer when it was finally announced that the series had its lead writer, director, and executive producers. Francesca Gardiner, known for working on shows like Succession and Killing Eve, will act as lead writer for the series. Michael Mylod, who worked on Game of Thrones, will direct multiple episodes, and Wizarding World Alums Neil Blair and David Heyman will act as executive producers. Information about the series seemed to go silent again – until now!
According to Deadline, the casting process has officially begun on the series. They are currently holding open casting calls for some of the roles, which is reminiscent of how casting for the original films was done, and those casting calls brought us Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, and Emma Watson. It was also reported that scripts are now being written, and Max plans on the series to be released in late 2026 or early 2027.
The entire Wizarding World is available to stream on Max.
