New Behind The Scenes Footage From 'Obi-Wan Kenobi' Leaks Online

Obi-Wan Kenobi

Yesterday some behind-the-scenes footage leaked for Obi-Wan Kenobi. The clip features a Jedi knight facing down two clone troopers, and while the footage was short it was an interesting choice to leak to the public. The clip was only a few seconds long but featured the aforementioned Jedi fighting off against two clone troopers, but in contrast to the prequels, the clone troopers were live actors in costume. Another noteworthy deviation was the bluescreen all around the actors as opposed to ILM's Stagecraft, the newest technology they use to film the shows.

It was a welcome sight, however, to see real clone armor as opposed to digital stand-ins an issue many fans had with the prequel trilogy and the use of CGI across the three films. With CGI in mind, it is worth mentioning that some eagle-eyed fans have spotted the Jedi and clones in the video during the first episode of Obi-Wan Kenobi. if you watch the opening scene of Order 66, when the camera pans out to a wide shot of the Jedi Temple you see the group of two clones and the Jedi engaging in combat before the Jedi's saber inevitably goes dark. We at CultureSlate look forward to more behind-the-scenes footage to see just how Lucasfilm brought the series to life. However, we will probably be waiting until Lucasfilm and Disney decide to release the Gallery episode for the series sometime after the show draws to a close.
