If there’s one thing DC Comics has been solid within the film industry, it’s animation. DC animated films have been highly rated and popular for some time, compared to its early attempts to match the MCU in live-action. The outpouring of love when word broke of the loss of Kevin Conroy was massive, a testament to the talent behind DC animation. Another testament to that is the strong showing from My Adventures With Superman, now renewed for a third season. With San Diego Comic Con running this weekend, it was revealed during the DC panel that a new character will be joining in the new season: Super Boy.

Super Boy, whose Kryptonian name is Kon-El and who goes by Connor Kent on Earth, is the creation of Project Cadmus, which has been seen in the show. Two surviving members, the Brain, and Monsieur Mallah, imply as much. With Superman’s cousin, Kara Zor-El, now in the mix, there’s the potential for a Kryptonian super-powered team up to take My Adventures With Superman even higher.

This is a good thing, considering that it was revealed that season four has been creatively approved so far. Season three was just recently renewed in June, so it will be some time before Super Boy joins the team.
