Matthew Macfadyen is the latest addition to Marvel Studios’ Deadpool 3, joining Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman, and Emma Corrin as part of this MCU Phase Six film.

Coming from the production of Succession, the final season of which is currently airing, Macfadyen has struck gold in securing a role within the MCU. That role at present is unknown, but he’ll likely do the role justice, having won many awards for Best Supporting Actor (not just for Succession, but also for the 2008 film Criminal Justice).

During the run of Succession, Macfadyen has also been involved with other projects, including the leading roles in short series Stonehouse and Quiz. He is currently shooting Holland, Michigan, a thriller that also stars Nicole Kidman.

Details for Deadpool 3 are scarce, but it is known that “merc with a mouth” Wade Wilson will team up with Wolverine to defeat a common enemy. Hugh Jackman has been giving hints to the story, including the fact that he has a dual role, which many have speculated to mean two versions of Logan.

Deadpool 3 is set to arrive in theatres November 8, 2024, which at present is the starting point of Phase Six. This ending phase of The Multiverse Saga will feature two Avengers films in The Kang Dynasty and Secret Wars, along with bringing The Fantastic Four into the MCU.
