We have exciting news to share for all the Marvel fans out there as we are counting down a couple more weeks to the premiere of highly anticipated Disney+ TV series from Marvel Studios WandaVision as the kick off of Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The last few weeks, Marvel relentlessly released tons of marketing and promotions for the WandaVision show, including the new one-minute trailer that revealed plenty of never-before-seen footage. WandaVision will be the first new Marvel Studios project released in nearly 18 months due to the pandemic. Black Widow was supposed to start off Phase 4, but as we all know, Black Widow was postponed twice until it landed a May 2021 release, turning WandaVision into the start of Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

It had been reported that all the MCU Disney+ show will consist about six episodes, but it has been rumored that WandaVision will have nine episodes. Of course, one of the more frequently asked questions from the Marvel fans about this new highly anticipated series is how many episodes the show will have.

This new international source has more info that will end the rumor as well as answering the question that Marvel fans had been wondering about for a while. According to the Disney Latino site, passed down by the popular site Murphy’s Multiverse, WandaVision will premiere on Disney+ on January 15 and end on March 5, thus confirming that WandaVision will have eight episodes total.

On January 15, 2021, WandaVision premieres on Disney+, Disney’s streaming platform. The series is starring Elizabeth Olsen (Wanda Maximoff) and Paul Bettany (Vision), and there will be a new episode available every Friday, according to the listing on the site. However, theoretically, one could imagine how there could still be nine episodes across these eight consecutive weeks. While Disney+ is not necessarily in the habit of doing this, it could theoretically air the first two episodes on the first Friday. Maybe a double-length pilot or the first two episodes to make people to get excited to see more of the episodes. Alternatively, there could be two episodes serving as the season finale. It also remains to be seen how long for each episode’s running time, as Disney did with The Mandalorian, the running time of which has been close to a half hour at the shortest and an hour at the longest. Marvel very well might be doing the same thing that Lucasfilm has done with the episode lengths of The Mandalorian.

While the plot of WandaVision is pretty much under wraps, as are the plots of all the future MCU films, the show is told through such lenses as the black and white 1950’s sitcom era, and the year or era that each episode evokes may end up being unpredictable. In the trailer, we see the 1950’s era and 1980’s era, and then the present time. One of the things that some of us fans have been speculating about the trailer is that it may be dropping hints of one of the biggest and most popular Marvel storylines, House of M, which stands for House of Magneto. The rights to use the X-Men and related characters reverted back to Marvel as soon as Disney purchased FOX. Then again, as has been the case for months for Marvel fans, what WandaVision is about is likely to remain a mystery until the show finally premieres on Disney+.

WandaVision will be airing on Disney+ every Friday from January 15, 2021 through March 5, 2021.
