Following several sneak peeks, we not only have a full trailer for the upcoming Marvel’s Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur, but we also know how soon after it premieres on Disney Channel that it will arrive on Disney+.

In the trailer, we meet Lunella Lafayette a talented young mind from the lower east side of New York City who through her intelligence develops either by accident or on purpose a machine which brings forward a large tyrannosaurus rex into modern times.  Lunella aka Moon Girl then teams up with her new dinosaur friend to keep her little neighbourhood safe from bad guys.

The original version of the comic released in 1978 from the mind of Jack Kirby, which featured Devil Dinosaur and at the time, his partner Moon Boy, was a short-lived series used to cash in on some of Kirby’s work in the DC universe and the Dino-craze of the late 70s. The characters were never really used to much until 2015 when Devil Dinosaur was teamed up with Moon Girl. In the short 1978 run, Devil Dinosaur and Moon Boy were from our current earth when Dinosaurs became extinct and man began to rule the earth. Other origin stories implied that Devil Dinosaur was from an alternate universe as well. In the 2015 revival, Moon Girl is touted as one of the most intelligent females in the entire Marvel Universe and she connected with Devil Dinosaur after he was sent through a portal by Moon Boy using Kree technology.

The new animated series stars Diamond White as Moon Girl, Fred Tatasciore as Devil Dinosaur, Sasheer Zamata as Lunella’s mother, Adria; Jermaine Fowler as Lunella’s father, James Jr., Alfre Woodard as Lunella’s grandmother, Mimi, Libe Barer as Lunella’s best friend and manager, Casey, and Gary Anthony Williams as Lunella’s grandfather, Pops. Laurence Fishburne is an executive producer but also has a role recurring as The Beyonder.

Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur premieres on February 10 on Disney Channel and then on February 15 on Disney+. The series has already been renewed for a second season.
